Thiago Motta's Juventus host Dutch champions PSV at the Allianz Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoffs round. A entertaining game is predicted despite much being on the line.

Form

Italian giants Juventus have been in a mixed run of form recently and head into this fixture on the back of a 2-1 Serie A win over Como.

They have now won just three of their last ten games in all competitions including a 2-0 win over English champions Man City.

Juventus have been unpredictable in the Champions League with three wins, three draws and two defeats in the group stages as they have struggled in attack.

They have scored more than once in just three of their eight Champions League games this season.

Their Champions League campaign this season have been low scoring affairs with under 2.5 goals featuring in their last six of their eight Champions League games.

PSV have been solid in the Dutch Eredivisie but have struggled against elite opposition in Europe.

They won four of their eight Champions League group stage matches including a hard fought 3-2 win against an already qualified Liverpool.

The Dutch side have been defensively vulnerable, keeping just one clean sheet while both teams have found the back of the net in six of their eight Champions League games this season.

PSV have been deadly in front of goal though as they have scored 2+ goals in five of their last six games in all competitions while over 2.5 goals have featured in five of their eight Champions League games.

Verdict

Juventus v PSV

Juventus might be struggling in attack but will buoyed by their recent 3-1 Champions League home win over PSV earlier this season. With PSV's quality in attack though, I'll be backing goals with Both Teams To Score.
